Installation technology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In installation technology , height adjustment elements, level compensation elements and 3D adjustment elements are used to adjust and level machines, systems, gears , devices and apparatus.

They can be used in many areas thanks to their easy handling, high load capacity , precise adjustment options and possible inclination compensation. These elements are used in mechanical engineering , automation technology as well as in conveyor technology and in motor , gear and pump construction.

For certain applications there are different variants of the installation technology and the selection depends primarily on the required adjustment path. The main advantage of the height adjustment elements is their low overall height.

conditions

Installation technology elements are subject to various technical requirements. They usually have to withstand high static loads as well as strong bending and buckling loads. By using fine threads in these components, on the one hand, higher pressure loads can be absorbed and, on the other hand, an easier and therefore very precise height adjustment can be ensured.

variants

Height adjustment element (technical drawing)

Height adjustment elements

Height adjustment elements can be found wherever it is necessary to bridge a height difference between one system component and another.

Type: height adjustment elements consist of a screw -bonnet (1) and a nut -Unterteil. In the case of static loads, the set height is permanently secured by tightening the fastening screw. If this is not sufficient or if no fastening screw is used, a model with a lock nut can be used. A locking device in the form of a snap ring serves as a height limiter for the maximum adjustment height (h1) and thus always ensures a secure connection between the upper part and the lower part.

Level compensation element (technical drawing)

Level compensation elements

The level-compensating element is used in cases where it comes to positioning and alignment of motors, generators , drive components and production lines going. With the level compensation element, alignment can be carried out easily and precisely, even if there are several bearing points. This ensures tension-free assembly. Level compensation elements with an additional spherical design also enable exact assembly with non-parallel support surfaces up to an angle of inclination of approx. 4 °.

Design: In the case of the spherical compensation element, the compensation element is connected to the upper part like a joint and can thus compensate for inclined contact surfaces. Due to a special constructive measure, the compensation element cannot be detached from the upper part and thus forms a unit with the upper part. A snap ring also serves as a height limitation for the maximum adjustment height.

3D adjustment element (technical drawing)

3D adjustment elements

The 3D adjustment element is used for vertical and horizontal alignment and attachment of a system component (motor, etc.) to another (compressor, pump, etc.). With 3D adjustment elements, leveling is possible in all three dimensions / levels. The setting provides a force-fit connection between the frame and the machine with an accuracy of 0.01 millimeters. Compensation of unevenness (e.g. uneven hall floor) of up to 5 ° is also possible. The settings can be secured and fixed with an additional lock nut and is therefore particularly suitable for systems with dynamic loads.

Design : The 3D adjustment element essentially consists of three components:

  • A compensation element (GAE) including plate (support for the motor base) for vertical alignment
  • for horizontal alignment two adjustment stands including adjusting screws
  • a threaded bolt to lock the system component

material

The material of the height adjustment elements depends on the requirements of the area of application:

  • Standard design: 42CrMo4 - No. 1.7225 surface. Electroplated galvanized , chromated blue
  • Stainless version: X10 CrNiS 18.9 - No. 1.4305 - A1
  • rust- and acid-resistant design: X5 CrNiMo 17.12.2 - no.1.4401 - A4

3-D adjusters are made exclusively from galvanized steel.

application

Height adjustment elements are used, for example, in special machines in development and production for assembly, handling and testing tasks. The level compensation elements integrated in the assembly machine ensure that the machine components are adjusted in height at the transfer points for subsequent process steps, and thus help to guarantee continuous use in multi-shift operation and the fact that they are largely maintenance-free.

The substructures of wind turbines have to carry forces of up to half a ton per square centimeter and be exactly at right angles . For this purpose, the substructure is finely adjusted by means of height adjustment elements and underfilled with a high-strength grouting mortar so that the forces can later be evenly introduced into the foundation during operation.

Height adjustment elements are also installed as load-bearing elements in high-voltage switchgear for managing power grids . Due to the high resilience and longevity, minimal maintenance intervals can be guaranteed, and reliable operation is possible even under the most extreme environmental conditions.
