August Böhm (politician)

August Böhm (born August 10, 1891 in Gernsheim , † March 10, 1938 in Friedberg ) was a Hessian politician ( DNVP ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Life

August Böhm was the son of the teacher Johann Adam Böhm and his wife Magdalena Böhm nee Schnatz. August Böhm was Catholic and married to Maria Böhm, née Maleton.

August Böhm studied in Giessen and Heidelberg Law and graduated after the second state examination. He was an assessor in Mainz, Ober-Ingelheim, Alzey and Wörrstadt. In 1925 he became a public prosecutor in Mainz.

August Böhm was a member of the German National People's Party. In 1924 he was elected for his party in the Hessian state parliament, in which he was represented for 4 electoral terms until 1933. With the seizure of power by the Nazis, he had to retire from active politics.
