August Liege

Friedrich August Lüttich (born July 21, 1873 in Halle an der Saale , † February 25, 1954 in Radebeul ) was a German politician (SPD) and a member of the Weimar National Assembly .

Life

After attending elementary school in Halle, Liège, the son of a kürer, learned the wood carving trade. Until the turn of the century he worked in this profession in various cities at home and abroad. From 1900 to 1905 he wrote as an editor for the Leipziger Volkszeitung . In 1905 Liège became a workers' secretary in Leipzig , where he became a member of the city council for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in the same year . From January 1919 to June 1920 he was also a member of the Weimar National Assembly for constituency 29 (Saxony 2).

Until 1933 he was in the position of a senior government councilor and headed the state employment agency in Dresden. He was removed from this position with the introduction of the Law to Restore the Professional Civil Service . His application to join the NSDAP was rejected in 1933.

Liège was also the author of several union and socio-political publications and a contributor to other political, union and local newspapers.

Address book 1933 Eisenstuckstraße 42. In 1934 he is registered with the same address as the operator of a law firm. From 1935 on it is no longer recorded.
