Gervasius Karl August Müssle (born September 2, 1871 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † March 16, 1935 in Kenzingen ) was a sculptor from Baden.

Müssle was trained by Julius Seitz at the Freiburg industrial school at the turn of the century , after Seitz held the modeling courses there in 1899. Between 1902 and 1905 he was involved in the ornaments for a fountain in St. Peter and in the design of the later Gertrud Luckner trade school . In addition to the relief by Hans Böringer , the creator of the renaissance rood screen in the Freiburg Cathedral , Müssle created the portraits of architecture, sculpture and painting there. The rectory of the neighboring Johanneskirche was also decorated by Seitz and Müssle at this time. With his colleague and fellow Seitz student Theodor Hengst (* 1869), Müssle worked on the neo-baroque corner gondola of the Dresdner Bank from 1905 to 1910, before the two of them worked with four of their colleagues on the building sculpture for the Freiburg City Theater from 1906 .

On March 16, 1901, Müssle married Maria Auguste Meissburger (1862–1931), who was born in Lörrach, in their second marriage . In 1901 the daughter Mathilde Maria was born († 1975 in Salt Lake City ), in 1903 the son Karl August Muessle († 1982 in Kenzingen) followed. From 1901 to 1910 there is evidence of Müssle's atelier in Freiburg. Then he moved with his family to Kenzingen.
