August Woodpecker
August Specht (born August 1, 1849 in Lauffen am Neckar , † 1923 in Stuttgart ) was a German lithographer and illustrator.
Life
August Specht was a student of Heinrich Läpple and Albert Kappis . In 1898 Specht's animal picture book was published with several tables and descriptions of the animals depicted in poetry.
August Specht was a member of the German Association of Artists .
Specht's brothers were the woodcutter Carl Gottlob Specht (1846–) and the animal painter and illustrator Friedrich Specht (1839–1909).
