August Winnefeld

August Winnefeld (born August 24, 1877 in Negenborn , † September 10, 1947 in Wattenscheid ) was a German politician of the German People's Party .

Life and work

After attending primary school in Negenborn , Brunswick , Winnefeld, who was of Protestant faith, completed an apprenticeship as a stonemason until 1894 . He then went to Günnigfeld in Westphalia as a miner . He was a member of the Christian Miners' Union and chairman of a local branch of the union.

Political party

Winnefeld belonged to the German People's Party. From 1922 he was chairman of the party's Reich Labor Committee and a member of the executive committee of the party as a whole.

MP

Winnefeld, who is also community representatives in Günnigfeld had belonged 1919 /20 for the German People's Party of the Weimar National Assembly of. He was then a member of the Reichstag until July 1932 and again from November 1932 to March 1933 .
