August von Bibra (1775–1844)
August Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Bibra (to distinguish it from his son of the same name, the name is often supplemented with the elder) (* November 20, 1775 in Oberlind ; † October 17, 1844 in Weilburg ) was the Nassau mayor and member of the state parliament .
Life
August von Bibra was a naval officer from 1787 to 1803, initially in Nassau-Orange and from 1795 in Saxony-Meiningian services. He studied forest sciences and entered service in Nassau-Weilburg in 1803 . In 1815 he became chief forester, in 1816 chief forest officer in Weilburg. He was appointed chief hunter and chamberlain in Nassau .
From 1832 to 1833 he was a representative of Prince Friedrich of the Netherlands of the Herrenbank of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau .

August von Bibra was the son of the chief forest and chief hunter and privy councilor Eugen Georg August Gottfried Freiherr von Bibra (* April 22, 1743 - May 3, 1802) and his wife Charlotte Wilhelmine Johannette Catherine nee von Künßberg (* March 29, 1752; February 23, 1819). One of his brothers was the Landtag Marshal Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Gottlob von Bibra from Meiningen .
August von Bibra's first marriage in 1812 was Henriette Auguste Sophie Charlotte, née Freiin von Bibra (* July 4, 1770, † July 24, 1813 in Weilburg), the daughter of the Saxon-Meiningischen colonel and court marshal Carl Freiherr von Bibra and his wife Luise Baroness of Dungers.
His second marriage was on October 15, 1815 in Weilburg, Amalie Caroline Luise Henriette, née Freiin Löw von und zu Steinfurth (* May 16, 1794 in Weilburg; † September 30, 1854 in Kirberg), the daughter of the Oberzeugmeister, Oberjägermeister and Councilor of State Friedrich Philipp Freiherr Löw von und zu Steinfurth and his wife Dorothea Wilhelmine née Rabe von Canstein. From this marriage the son August von Bibra (d. J.) emerged, who became chief forest master, councilor and member of the first chamber of the Nassau estates.
