August Lothar Maximilian Ludwig Freiherr von Brück (born August 7, 1859 in Munich , † September 8, 1941 in Kirchdorf am Haunpold , Upper Bavaria ) was a German diplomat, secret legation councilor and envoy to Finland.

Life

Since 1881, after completing his training, he worked in the Bavarian judicial service; In 1884 he became a royal Bavarian chamberlain. In 1885 he was drafted into the Foreign Service (consular career). In the years 1887 to 1897 he was deployed at various agencies, for example in Sofia , Nice , Warsaw and Casablanca . In 1893 he became royal Bavarian chamberlain and from 1897 to 1914 consul in Riga , Havana , Valparaíso , La Paz and finally Warsaw. From 1915 to 1916 von Brück was the representative of the Foreign Office at the Governor General for Poland and then until 1918 the German Consul General in Warsaw . From 1918 to 1920 he was the first German envoy in Finland after independence. In 1920 he was transferred to temporary retirement.
