The Augusta Island is a small island of the archipelago of Raja Ampat off the coast of West New Guinea ( Indonesia ).

The Augusta Island is located in Dampierstrasse , northwest of the Vogelkop Peninsula of New Guinea . The closest neighbor is the Duiveninsel in the southeast . Further to the north is the larger island of Mansuar , to the south, across the Dampier Strait, the island of Batanta , one of the main islands of the archipelago of Raja Ampat , which also includes the Augusta Island . This forms the administrative district of Raja Ampat in the province of West Papua .
