The house Augustinern 22, 23 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the northern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. The Augustinern 21 building , which is also listed, is adjacent to the west .

Architecture and history

The three-storey half - timbered house was built as a double house on the eaves according to a building inscription in 1734. The half-timbered facade is decorated with elements typical of the construction period. There are pyramid beam heads , thresholds and profiled fillers. The upper storeys protrude over the one below. The western part of the building, house number 22, has a limestone cladding . The front door on this side dates from around 1820, that of the eastern half was from the construction time.

In the course of the renovation of the house at the beginning of the 21st century, the entrance on the east side was removed.
