The Augustinern 78 house is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the northern part of the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. The Augustinern 77 building , which is also listed, is adjacent to the west .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built according to an inscription in 1663 in the early Baroque style . The building is covered by a mansard roof . The stator position of the truss structure comprises differently large distances and thus provides an early departure from the hitherto usual strict stand ranking represents. Unusually, the partially across sheet tips foot braces. Pyramid beam heads can be found on the facade . Structural changes were made in later times.
