Augusto Guidi

Augusto Guidi (born February 14, 1838 in Rome , Papal States ; † March 16, 1900 ibid) was a curial archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Augusto Guidi received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Rome on March 30, 1861 . Previously, Guidi was secretary of the Holy Congregation for Studies . In 1892 Guidi became president of the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy in Rome. As early as 1894 Augusto Guidi resigned as president of the Pontifical Diplomatic Academy.

On May 18, 1894, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . the titular archbishop of Nicaea and ordered him to secretary of Cardinal Commission for the selection of bishops for Italy. The Cardinal Vicar of the Diocese of Rome, Lucido Maria Cardinal Parocchi , donated him episcopal ordination on June 3 of the same year . In addition, Augusto Guidi was His Holiness Auditor from 1895 .
