Lucido Maria Cardinal Parocchi (born August 13, 1833 in Mantua , †  January 15, 1903 in Rome ) was a Curia Cardinal of the Roman Church .

Live and act

In 1871 Parocchi was appointed Bishop of Pavia . He was ordained episcopate on November 5th of the same year by the Cardinal Dean and Secretary of the Congregation of the Roman and General Inquisition , Cardinal Costantino Patrizi Naro . However, the exercise of the office was made impossible.

Parocchi was Archbishop of Bologna from 1877 to 1882 . Pope Pius IX took him on June 22, 1877 as a cardinal priest with the titular church of San Sisto in the college of cardinals . In 1884 he became cardinal priest with the titular church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme , in 1889 cardinal bishop of Albano and in 1896 cardinal bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina . From 1896 to 1903 Cardinal Parocchi held the office of secretary of the Holy Inquisition .

He was Cardinal Vicar for the Diocese of Rome from 1884 to 1899 and treasurer of the Holy College of Cardinals in 1888.

Parocchi took part in the conclave of 1878 that Pope Leo XIII. chose, part.
