Augusto Lauro

Augusto Lauro (born November 29, 1923 in Tarvisio , Italy ) is former bishop of San Marco Argentano-Scalea.

Life

Augusto Lauro was ordained a priest on June 29, 1947 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on September 8, 1975 auxiliary bishop in Cosenza and titular bishop of Bigastro . The Archbishop of Cosenza, Enea Selis , donated him episcopal ordination on October 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Domenico Picchinenna , Archbishop of Catania , and Giuseppe Vairo , Bishop of Venosa .

On April 7, 1979 he was appointed Bishop of San Marco Argentano-Scalea . On March 6, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
