Domenico Crusco

Domenico Crusco (born August 19, 1934 in Grisolia , Province of Cosenza , Calabria , Italy ; † August 25, 2013 ibid.) Was Bishop of San Marco Argentano-Scalea .

Life

Domenico Crusco entered the seminary of San Marco Argentano and studied at the Pontifical Seminary of Pius XI. of Reggio Calabria and at the Pontifical Seminary of St. Pius X. of Catanzaro. He was ordained priest on July 16, 1961 by Bishop Luigi Rinaldi in the Cathedral of San Nicola in San Marco Argentano . He worked in the diocese of San Marco-Scalea, among other things, as rector of the seminary.

Pope John Paul II appointed him bishop of Oppido Mamertina-Palmi on February 7, 1991 . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Italy , Luigi Poggi , on April 20 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Augusto Lauro , Bishop of San Marco Argentano-Scalea, and Giuseppe Agostino , Archbishop of Crotone-Santa Severina .

On March 6, 1999, John Paul II called him Bishop of San Marco Argentano-Scalea. Pope Benedict XVI On January 7, 2011, he accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
