Luciano Bux
Luciano Bux (born June 26, 1936 in Bari , Italy ; † August 8, 2014 there ) was bishop of Oppido Mamertina-Palmi .
Life
Luciano Bux was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Bari on July 2, 1961 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Aurusuliana and auxiliary bishop in Bari-Bitonto on January 21, 1995 . The Archbishop of Bari-Bitonto, Andrea Mariano Magrassi OSB , donated him episcopal consecration on March 25th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Lanave , Bishop of Andria , and Michele Mincuzzi , Archbishop Emeritus of Lecce .
On February 5, 2000, John Paul II called him Bishop of Oppido Mamertina-Palmi. On July 2, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. He submitted his resignation due to reasons of age and appointed him until the inauguration ( enthronement ) of a successor as Apostolic Administrator of the diocese.
Luciano Bux was Grand Officer of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
