The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cosenza-Bisignano ( Latin Archidioecesis Cosentina-Bisinianensis , Italian Arcidiocesi di Cosenza San Marco and Bisignano ) is in Italy located Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Cosenza .

The diocese of Cosenza was established in the 7th century and made an archbishopric in 1150. On April 4, 1979 it was united with the territories of the diocese of San Marco and Bisignano , which before the amalgamation of the diocese of Bisignano with the diocese of San Marco formed the diocese of Bisignano and renamed the " Archdiocese of Cosenza and Bisignano ". Since September 30, 1986, the diocese has been called "Archdiocese of Cosenza-Bisignano".

On January 30, 2001, Pope John Paul II raised it to the Metropolitan Archdiocese and subordinated the dioceses of Cassano all'Jonio , Rossano-Cariati and San Marco Argentano-Scalea as Suffragan Diocese .
