Together with Hammer and Hagnberg, Aurach is one of the three southernmost parts of the municipality of Fischbachau in the Miesbach district in Bavaria .

history

Until his death in 1960, Karl d'Ester, who holds the chair for newspaper studies at the University of Munich, lived in Aurach .

Buildings in Aurach

There are four listed buildings and a wayside shrine in Aurach . The building of the Gasthof Mairhofer was built at the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century.
