Aurelia Julia Sophia Burckhardt (born December 27, 1974 in Bern ) is a Swiss director , actress and cultural manager in the visual arts.

Life

Aurelia Burckhardt is of Swiss- Italian origin. Her father was the historian Andreas Burckhardt , her mother Annamaria Regazzoni was an interpreter. She grew up with her family in Switzerland. Aurelia Burckhardt attended the Conservatory of the City of Vienna from 1994 . In addition, she did dance training at T-Junction in Vienna , the forerunner of the Tanzquartier Wien . From 2004 to 2006 she worked for the Vienna dance and performance association Im_flieger as a curator and in the finance department.

From 2005 to 2007 Burckhardt took on engagements as an actress at the Schauspielhaus Wien . From 2006 to 2010 she was a member of the Vienna performance collective Theatercombinat under the direction of Claudia Bosse . A supporting role as a nun in the feature film Lourdes (2009) directed by Jessica Hausner was her debut as a film actress in a movie, which was followed by other roles. She is part of the european film conspiracy with internationally successful films such as Soldate Jeannette and WINWIN.

From 2009 to 2010 Burckhardt completed cultural management training at the University of Vienna . She represents artists at exhibitions in museums such as the MAK and the Kunsthistorisches Museum or galleries such as zs art or the Lukas Feichtner gallery in Vienna.

The center of her life is Vienna, where she lives with her husband and son (born 2002).
