Ausserschnitz

In the Middle Ages, one half of the monastery high court was called Ausserschnitz , the other half was called Innerschnitz .

Half of the high court had one of the 14 votes in the ten court federation, one of the three federations from which the canton of Graubünden emerged. The neighborhoods Küblis , Conters , Saas , Ascharina and Rüti were part of the Ausserschnitz .
