The Autobianchi Bianchina is a small car from the Italian car manufacturer Autobianchi . The car was built from 1957 to 1969. The Bianchina is a Fiat Nuova 500 with a special body .
history
A two-seater small coupé with a folding sunroof was offered, also as a Bianchina Special with the more powerful engine of the Fiat 500 Sport (1957/58 to 1962), a two-door sedan (also with the sports engine), a convertible and a station wagon version with the names Furgonetta and Panoramica ( called Panorama in Germany ), which were technically but not structurally identical to the Fiat 500 Giardiniera. The engine of the station wagon was inclined by 90 ° to the right to make room for a cargo space above.
Technically, the Bianchina always followed the changes to the Fiat 500; the engine initially had a displacement of 479 cm³ and developed 15 PS (11 kW) as in the Nuova 500, later it was 499.5 cm³ and 18 PS (13 kW) in the Panoramica and 21 PS (15 kW) in the convertible. The maximum speed of the vehicles with the 21 HP engine was 105 km / h.
In 1969 the production of the Bianchina series was ended. For this, the Autobianchi Giardiniera, which was produced until 1977, was added to the range. This was the essentially unchanged Fiat 500 Giardiniera station wagon version that was abandoned by Fiat.
