The AutoForm Engineering GmbH , based in Neerach is a Swiss software developer . The company develops and sells software solutions for toolmaking and the sheet metal working industry , thus covering the entire process chain. This includes safeguarding product manufacturability, calculating tool and material costs, tool design and virtual process optimization. The company has a 50 to 60 percent market share in this area, with AutoForm software used by all of the top 20 automobile manufacturers and most of their suppliers .
The company emerged in 1995 from a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich . It was there in 1990 that the development of the simulation software - the doctoral thesis of company founder Waldemar Kubli - began. As a result, AutoForm developed into an international company with branches in Europe, North America and Asia.

AutoForm also cooperates with CAD providers for the automotive industry ( Dassault Systèmes , UGS PLM Solutions ) and integrates AutoForm technology in various CAD environments ( CATIA V5 , UniGraphics NX ).
In addition, AutoForm cooperates with various CAD / CAM providers in order to link the AutoForm technology with their CAD / CAM software tools (e.g. Missler Software, Tebis ).
