Autonomy! is the second solo album by Stephan Weidner , the head and bassist of the band Böhse Onkelz .

It was released at the end of 2010 as a standard and deluxe version on the 3R Entertainment label and reached number 3 on the German album charts.

Music genre

With this album Der W distances itself even more than on the previous album from the music that is typical of the Uncle. Autonomy! offers a broad musical horizon and has experimental synth-electro-rock songs, brutal metal tracks, and jazz ballads, swing and blues stories or typical rock bullets ready for the listener.

Cover design

The album cover shows a W , the artist's logo, surrounded by newspaper snippets. In the lower part is the black lettering Autonomie! , also as a newspaper line. The album artwork comes from the agency BLITZEN.

The album reached position 3 in the German charts in the 51st calendar week of 2010 and was 40 in the following weeks; 61 and 45. It was able to stay in the top 100 for a total of 10 weeks. In the neighboring countries of Austria and Switzerland it also reached the charts at number 43 and 71 respectively for one week each.

As a single, the song Stars was released in advance in a physical edition of 1000 copies, as well as for download. In addition to the title track, the single, which did not make it into the charts, includes the non-album track It seems as if ... and contains meat . Furthermore, videos were shot for the songs Machsmaulauf and Fleisch .
