IV is the fourth solo album by Stephan Weidner , the head and bassist of the band Böhse Onkelz . It was released on March 18, 2016 through its own label, W-Entertainment.

Cover design
The album cover is in black and white and shows the capital letter W , which is formed from bones and a skull. Another large skull can be seen in the background. The title IV is in the lower part of the picture.

The album entered the German charts at number 4 on March 25, 2016 and stayed in the top 100 for five weeks.
On March 4, 2016, the song Mehr! uncoupled from iTunes for download . In addition, the song Neuland was published on March 14, 2016 on the singer's official YouTube channel.

The e-zine laut.de rated IV with three out of a possible five points. The editor Manuel Berger found that the album was significantly more pop-heavy than the rocker's earlier works and was reminiscent of the sound of the Toten Hosen . The texts are more optimistic and the overall picture looks rounder, but this is at the expense of the substance. The song foreskin, headscarf, crucifix , which breaks out of the usual "favors skirt" , was positively highlighted .
The editor David Santilian from derguteton gave the album seven out of a possible ten points. He described it as fresher, happier and more euphoric than its predecessor. The songs were said to be “suitable for the stage”, with the song How really is reality receiving particular praise. In addition, Dirk Czuya's vocal interventions were highlighted as a suitable addition to Weidner's singing.
