The Fifth Chapter (also stylized as T5C ) is the 17th studio album by the German dance band Scooter . It was released on September 26, 2014 on Scooter's own label Sheffield Tunes .

background

The Fifth Chapter is the first album after Phil Speiser replaced founding member Rick J. Jordan . It is also the first album since 1996, Our Happy Hardcore , to be released on vinyl .

The title refers to the supposedly fifth chapter of the band's history, as Phil Speiser was the fifth newcomer in the band's history.

reception

Dani Fromm from laut.de doesn't think much of the songs in which HP Baxxter does not appear as a singer. These songs "leave almost no traces." However, other songs are ideal for all who "dance old-school electroboogie with a jackhammer and have fun damned".

Christopher Sennfelder from Plattentests.de thinks: "Scooters haven't sounded that crisp for a long time", but also points out that "various dubstep and trap elements are not exactly fresh." He further sums up:

“But let's be honest: is Scooter about innovation? Of course not. The north Germans are craftsmen. And someone has to build tables and chairs too. The material is always outrageously memorable. All essential elements of the scooter music kit can therefore also be found on "The Fifth Chapter". "
