Jumping All Over the World is the thirteenth studio album by the German Dance - band Scooter . It was released on November 30, 2007 on Scooter's own label Sheffield Tunes . It is strongly oriented towards Jumpstyle and contains many cover versions, samples and adaptations of already known songs and melodies from various musical genres.

The album was in 2007 in Sheffield Underground Studios from the Scooter members HP Baxxter , Rick J. Jordan , Michael Simon and Jens Thele produced . HP Baxxter wrote the lyrics that were not adopted by other artists. Rick J. Jordan and Michael Simon acted as sound engineers.

A special edition of the album includes a second CD with 20 top ten hits from Scooter. Jumping All Over the World is the second Scooter album to be released in the same year as its predecessor. The cover was designed by the designer Marc Schilkowski . It shows the shapes of three dancing jumpstylers in front of a blurred neon sign.

On April 30, 2008, the album "Jumping All Over the World" was released in England and entered the official British album charts at number 1 on May 11. It displaced while the album Hard Candy by Madonna of No. 1, which had long been at the top of chart one week.

The success is a surprise in that Scooter released their last album in England in 2003 and none of their albums have made it into the top 10 of the charts there.

music

The intro definition is the well-known minuet by Luigi Boccherini from the String Quintet op. 13, No. 5. In addition, a female-sounding computer voice reads the English Wikipedia article “Jumping”.

The next song, Jumping All Over the World , uses a sample of A Glass of Champagne by the British pop group Sailor , as well as the melody of "Rock Civilization" by the Dutch hardstyle DJ Headhunterz . A childlike voice sings the refrain to a jumpstyle beat, while H. P. Baxxter acts as MC , imitating the beat of Zany & Tatanka's work "Front 2 Back".

The Question Is What Is the Question? is an adaptation of the song How Do You Do by the Dutch group Mouth & MacNeal from 1972. The chorus of the song is pitched and sung in a distorted manner and supplemented with spoken chants typical of Scooter.

Enola Gay uses the basic melody of Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark 1980s hit Enola Gay to a techno beat and the often repeated phrase Hardstyle , Baby , interrupted by a sung refrain.

Neverending Story is a cover version of Limahl's Neverending Story . Giorgio Moroder wrote this song as the theme song for the 1984 film adaptation of Michael Ende's The Neverending Story .

And No Matches uses the chorus from the 1998 hit single Big, Big World by Swede Emilia . The text has been changed to fit the Jumpstyle theme .

Cambodia , English for Cambodia , consists of the basic melodies of Kim Wilde 's song of the same name from 1981. A driving jumpstyle beat can also be heard. No vocals are used for this.

I'm Lonely is largely a cover of the jumpstyle piece Lonely by the Belgian-Dutch techno trio Felix Project . In the slow parts, a song is sung with piano accompaniment.

Whistling Dave uses the melody of Korobeiniki , a Russian folk song made famous by the game Tetris .

Marian (Version) is a cover version of the 1985 song Marian by the English rock band The Sisters of Mercy . The song is quieter and darker than the previous ones and doesn't use a jumpstyle beat.

Lighten Up the Sky is a hard, energetic hardstyle piece and draws on the melody of the trance track "Torrent" by Dave 202.

The last song before the outro, The Hardcore Massive , samples the track Fuck the System by the Dutch DJ duo Showtek .

The outro The Greatest Difficulty again consists of Boccherini's minuet.
