HP Baxxter, 2013

HP Baxxter (born March 16, 1964 as Hans Peter Geerdes in Leer ) is a German MC and singer of electronic dance music as well as the front man of the group Scooter . He is co-owner of Kontor Records .

Career

Until the age of 17, Baxxter looked to Ritchie Blackmore , the guitarist of Deep Purple , as his role model. After that he admired Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode . After graduating from high school in 1985 at Teletta-Groß-Gymnasium Leer , Baxxter briefly studied law in Hanover . He then worked as an employee at a music label . In 1987 he founded Maxime Celebrate the Nun with Rick J. Jordan and his sister Britt Maxime ; The band Scooter followed in 1993. On March 15, 2013 he released the solo electro house song Who the Fuck Is HP Baxxter?

Television appearances

Guest roles

In 1998, Baxxter starred in an episode of Alarm for Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei . In 2012, HP Baxxter was seen in a cameo role as a scooter frontman in the German TV comedy Schief wounded . In 2015 he had a cameo in the metropolitan area in the episode Reunion with a dead woman and at Dittsche .

Jury memberships

In 2009 he was part of the German jury for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 together with Guildo Horn , Jeanette Biedermann , Sylvia Kollek and Tobias Künzel . From August to November 2012, Baxxter sat with Sarah Connor , Sandra Nasić and Moses Pelham on the jury of the third season of the talent show X Factor . In 2016 and 2017, Baxxter was a jury member for the 13th and 14th seasons of Deutschland sucht den Superstar .

Moderation

In 2014 Baxxter presented the multi-part Arte music documentary "Summer of the 90s".

Miscellaneous

He lent his voice to a cartoon character modeled on him in episode 8 of Ralph Ruthe's animated film Pete, which was released in 2009 .

Private

Baxxter was married to the model Simone Mostert from 2006 to 2011. He was with the jewelry designer Nikola Jancso for four years, then for about half a year with the Russian student Liza Leven. He has been in a relationship with the photo model Lysann Geller since 2016.

Baxxter used vintage cars in many of his music videos , such as a Ford Consul Mark 2 in 1961 and a Jaguar E-Type V12 in 1973 . He owns a collection of old English cars and lives in Hamburg-Duvenstedt .
