Under the radar over the top is the fourteenth studio album by the German Dance - band Scooter . It was released on October 2, 2009 on Scooter's own label Sheffield Tunes. The album was produced in 2009 at Sheffield Underground Studios by HP Baxxter, Rick J. Jordan, Michael Simon and Jens Thele. It went straight to number 2 in Media Controls and is therefore the highest album placement that Scooter has achieved in Germany so far.

A normal edition of the album is available, as well as a limited edition, which includes the normal CD as well as a DVD that shows a Scooter interview and excerpts from various visits abroad, as well as a second CD, which, according to HP Baxxter, is on , "Scooter-atypical" songs are located. Another edition, the Limited Fan Box, contains the two CDs and the DVD as well as various fan material, including a flag.

style

Characteristic of the album is the extensive use of hardstyle elements. While the last album was still in Jumpstyle , this time it's harder in sound.

Some tracks (such as J'adore Hardcore , Bit a Bad Boy , Stuck on Replay ) are designed for a live audience to sing along.

The single version of The Sound Above My Hair has been changed and no longer contains any hardstyle elements. The original, purely instrumental parts were removed and replaced by chants and bagpipes .

In Ti Sento the chorus is sung by a singer, but not by the normally pitched voice, but by the original interpreter of the song, Antonella Ruggiero . HP Baxxter sings himself in the track Second Skin .

Clic Clac and Metropolis are the only instrumental pieces on the album. In terms of number, this is rather few compared to other Scooter albums.

Singles

On August 14, 2009, the single J'adore Hardcore was released. It went straight to 12th place on the Media Controls list . In the video for the single you can see Scooter frontman HP Baxxter, the band in a music hall and several Melbourne shuffle dancers.

On October 2nd, the same day as the album, the single Ti sento was released, which is a cover version of the song of the same name by the Italian band Matia Bazar . It went straight to number 11 in the Media Controls category. In the following week the title climbed to position 10 in the charts and is therefore Scooter's 23rd top ten hit in Germany. In the accompanying video, dancers were omitted this time; it is set in the 1940s. The Scooter members wear black suits and are bodyguards of an opera singer, namely Antonella Ruggiero , who sings the female vocals in the song.

On November 27th the third single from the album was released: The Sound Above My Hair . The song only reached number 38 in the first week, making it the band's most unsuccessful single after She's the Sun when it was released. The video for the single takes place in front of the Wernigerode Castle in the Harz Mountains. Accompanied by half-naked women with bagpipes and a smaller crowd, the scooter members drove through the area on the so-called scooter mobile. It shows obvious parallels to the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

In March the single Stuck on Replay was released , which was the official song of the Ice Hockey World Championship 2010 , which took place in Germany in May 2010. Scooter had a live appearance at the opening match Germany - USA in front of 76,000 spectators in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen . The single reached position 36 in the German charts.

A special feature of the singles is the use of the extended versions for all four video clips.
