The Avance is a river in France that runs in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . It rises on the northwestern outskirts of Chorges , generally drains west to southwest and flows into the Durance after 21 kilometers in the municipality of Jarjayes as a right tributary .
