The street begins at number 177 on avenue Victor-Hugo and ends at numbers 99-103 on rue de la Pompe opposite the south side of the Lycée Janson de Sailly .
Name origin
Her name is reminiscent of Françoise-Athénaïs de Rochechouart de Mortemart, marquise de Montespan (1641–1707), the favorite of Louis XIV (1638–1715).
history
The writer and literary critic Arsène Houssaye (1815-1896) had the road built in 1856.
The houses on the private road were numbered in 1979 and connected to the public sewer system in 1981.
