Avery Storm , actually Ralph di Stasio (born September 4, 1981 in New Jersey ) is an American R&B singer, record producer and songwriter . He is signed to Nelly's record label Derrty Entertainment .

Career

Avery Storm was born in a small town in New Jersey into an Italian-American working class family. Influenced by his father, he began to make music at an early age. After graduating from high school , he moved to nearby New York City to begin his musical career. Here he drew attention to himself at various events and was nominated by ASCAP for the Writer's Workshop Award . In the summer of 2001 he finally became part of a local production company and managed to get a record deal with Interscope Records . However, an album was never released and the contract was terminated. He then started working in a delicatessen store and used the money he earned to produce demo CDs. One of these CDs caught the attention of a talent scout from Nelly's Derrty Entertainment label . He signed a contract there and subsequently appeared on songs by various artists from Nelly's environment or at the side of Nelly herself, for example on the successful singles Nasty Girl from The Notorious BIG's posthumously published duets or on Rick Ross ' Here I Am .
