Jagged Edge
Jagged Edge is an R&B band from the USA. It consists of twin brothers Brandon and Brian Casey (born October 13, 1975 in Hartford, Connecticut ), Richard Wingo (born September 3, 1975) and Kyle Norman.
Band history
Jagged Edge originated in Atlanta , Georgia , and members Brandon Casey (Case Dinero), Brian Casey (Brasco), Kyle Norman (Quick) and Richard Wingo (Wingo Dollar) have vocal experience in church choirs . A first record deal with the label Biv Ten of Michael Bivins did not come unexpectedly. The first demo CDs were produced. After Jermaine Dupri heard the quartet perform live a cappella , he immediately signed Jagged Edge with his label So So Def .
After the first single and the first album A Jagged Era reached gold status in 1998 , the second album Jagged Edge Heartbreak climbed to multiple platinum a year later . 2001 they put another platinum disc with the album Jagged Little Thrill . After that, Jagged Edge was quiet for two years. Many fans believed in the end of the band after the last single in 2001 was called Goodbye . But the fans were wrong and Jagged Edge reported back in 2003 with the single Walked Outta Heaven and the album Hard , which immediately achieved gold status.
In 2006 Jagged Edge reached the top of the German charts for the first time. Their 2005 single Nasty Girl , which they recorded together with Diddy, Nelly and Avery Storm in memory of Notorious BIG , was very successful as the soundtrack of the television show Germany's Next Topmodel .
The release of the fifth album followed in May 2006, followed by the sixth album The Remedy with the single Flow Through My Veins in the summer of 2011 .
