The Avijõgi is a 48 km long river in Estonia . Its catchment area covers 393 km². He covers a slope of 65 m. The left tributaries of the Avijõgi are Sinilille oja, Karja oja, Avinurme oja, Laurisaare peakraav and Rehessaare oja, the right tributaries Moora oja and Venevere peakraav.

The Avijõgi rises in the district of Lääne-Viru (German West-Wierland ) near the village of Muuga (rural community Laekvere ). The upper course is on the Pandivere ridge . The Avijõgi flows into the Peipussee at Lohusuu . Before the Second World War, there were numerous water mills on the river.
