Axegressor is a Finnish thrash metal band from Turku that was formed in 2006. The band played with groups like Toxic Holocaust , Onslaught , Soilwork and Municipal Waste .
history
The band was formed in 2006. Together they developed the first songs, which resulted in the EP Axecution in 2007 . There followed two small tours through Finland, where she appeared as the opening act for Adorior and Legion of the Damned . They also appeared as the only Finnish band at the Inferno Festival in Oslo . Before the tours, drummer Jouni Latvala left the project and was replaced by Atte Mäkelä. At the end of 2008 guitarist Aki Järvinen left the band. On June 3, 2009, the band released their debut album Command via Dethrone Music . The recordings for this took place in the spring of the same year.
The second album Next was released in 2011. In July of the same year, the band also performed at the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival . In February 2012 she played at the Finnish Metal Expo .
style
The band plays old-school thrash metal, comparing it with German bands of the genre such as Sodom or Tankard .
