Axel Britz (born January 16, 1969 in Koblenz ) is a former German soccer player .

Life

Axel Britz began playing football as a teenager at FC Metternich . After a few other positions, the midfielder landed at 1. FC Köln in 1989 . For two years he tried to assert himself there, which he did not succeed under the coaches Christoph Daum and Erich Rutemöller . In the third year he was loaned to the neighbor SC Fortuna Köln in the 2nd Bundesliga . There he injured himself after four competitive games. In the fourth year he moved back to 1. FC Köln, where he did not play a single competitive game due to his long injury break. He then retired to the amateur sector, where he ended his active career at FV Engers 07 in 2005 . In total, he was used 31 times in competitive games by professional teams. He scored a goal.
