Axel Heil (* 1965 in Karlsruhe ) is a German artist . He lives in Karlsruhe and Basel , main focus: mixed media.

education

Axel Heil studied from 1984 to 1990 at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe with Professors Harry Kögler and Helmut Dorner. From 1988 to 1994 he studied ethnology and philosophy at the University of Heidelberg . From 1990 to 1992 he was a master class student with Professor Max Kaminski.

Teaching activities

From 2000 to 2001, Heil took on a guest professorship for writing at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe, and in 2001 he was visiting professor at the Free Art Academy in Mannheim . Since 2002 he has been Professor of Experimental Transfer Methods and Writing at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe.
