from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Axel Möller (born April 9, 1964 in Stralsund ) is a German neo-Nazi . He is best known as the long-standing operator of Altermedia , one of the most important German - speaking right - wing extremist websites . In October 2011, he was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment for, among other things, incitement to hatred , using symbols of unconstitutional organizations and inciting criminal offenses .

Life

As a student, Möller was an active member of the FDJ . After reunification he joined the DVU for a short time after 1992 , later he became a member of the Republicans and in 1996 finally the NPD . After contentious disputes, he left the NPD again in 2000 and has since called himself a “ free nationalist ”. Möller is single and lived in Stralsund until his imprisonment .

Political activity

Since it was founded in 1997, Möller has been the operator and main author of the right-wing extremist Internet platform Störtebeker-Netz , which later became a German offshoot of the multilingual, international right-wing extremist website “Altermedia”. Möller had always denied his involvement in "Altermedia", although this was already accepted in 2000 by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Office for the Protection of the Constitution. In 2000 Möller was convicted of sedition and in 2002 also for sedition in the act of insulting and denigrating the memory of the deceased. This sentence was suspended because, according to the court, he did not break the conditions until 2004, so the sentence has been lifted. A court-proof proof of authorship in "Altermedia" was only provided in 2010, when Möller was sentenced to a fine of 150 daily rates for inciting hatred and insulting . In the course of the proceedings, investigators monitored the telecommunications traffic of the trained waiter for several years. The result of the monitoring was that all articles on Möller's computer were published and processed with his IP number. According to tagesschau-online , this monitoring apparently began in 2005, possibly even earlier, which means that government agencies had known for at least six years that Möller was the operator of the site.

Convictions

In October 2011 he was sentenced to a prison term of 30 months and another author of the "Altermedia" also to a prison term of 27 months. The list of charges included 50 items, including sedition , incitement to crime , Holocaust denial and the use of anti- constitutional organization markings . Möller began his prison sentence in December 2011. Until then, he continued to work as an author at "Altermedia". The sentence against Möller was extended by another year in March 2013 for inciting criminal offenses. Möller served his sentence in full until May 28, 2015. He had declared that he would continue the “fight against the political system” even after his release.
