Axel Reenstierna
Count Axel Reenstierna (born July 6, 1695 in Norrköping , † February 16, 1730 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish councilor and diplomat.
Life
Axel Reenstierna came originally from Aachen originating family Reenstierna that in 1669 the Swedish nobility was raised. He was the son of Jacob Reenstierna (called "the younger"; 1659-1716). On August 27, 1719 he married Margareta Elisabet née Sparwenfeld (1701–1764), a daughter of the master of ceremonies Johan Gabriel Sparwenfeld . The future governor Fredrik Ulrik Reenstierna (1722–1783) was one of their children .
Reenstierna was appointed Swedish minister in the Lower Saxon Empire in 1719 ; from 1720 he was also a resident of the Hanseatic cities in Hamburg . In 1727 he was promoted to the Swedish Councilor and designated Swedish resident at the Sublime Porte in Constantinople . He died in Stockholm in 1730.
