Ayman Baalbaki

Ayman Baalbaki (* 1975 in Odeisse, Lebanon ) is a Lebanese artist .

Life

Baalbaki studied at the Université Libanaise in Beirut and then at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris . He is one of the artists from Lebanon who have already exhibited internationally in Europe and the Arab world and who refer to the problems of the recent past in their homeland. He became known for his depiction of hooded Arab fighters and installations with references to destruction, displacement and flight. After the last Lebanon war in 2006, he made drawings of the ruins of Beirut. The Iranian merchant Ramin Salsali exhibits works by Baalbaki in his Salsali Private Museum in Dubai , United Arab Emirates .
