The Mistelbacher Höhe is a ridge section on Obersberg , a mountain in the Mürzsteg Alps near Schwarzau in the mountains in the Schwarzatal in Lower Austria. Your saddle is around 1306 m above sea level. A. high.
location
The Mistelbacher Höhe is located west of Schwarzau Markt . To the south lies the Schwarzau village of Preintal , north of Trauch.
It creates the connection in the main ridge of the Göller-Gippel-Zug from Gippel ( 1669 m above sea level ) to Obersberg ( 1467 m above sea level ). Its western end is the Bärenköpfl (approx. 1428 m above sea level ), an inconspicuous ridge elevation. The Trauchbach goes north to the uppermost Schwarza in the Tiefental , south of the Gscheidlgraben , a mostly dry channel, to the Preinbach , which goes over the Nassbach to the Schwarza near Singerin . The Bärenköpfl is the municipal boundary to St. Aegyd am Neuwalde and the watershed to the injustice Traisen .
About the name
The terrain formation has nothing to do with Mistelbach in the Weinviertel, actually it is called Mistelbauer Höhe , probably after the now dilapidated Mistelhof below in Preintal. The Gscheidlgraben there - with the word 'Ge-Scheide', which can be found everywhere here, for passes and roadsides - suggests that the hill was originally also called Gscheidl .
ways
The easy high path is an approach to Obersberg, a beautiful panoramic mountain in Vienna's local mountains , and the Waldfreundehütte there from the west. It is also used for approaching the summit or crossing the entire group.
