During the 1938/39 season , the ice hockey clubs of Central Bohemia held their own championship after the first division , the highest Czechoslovak league, was stopped after the preseason . Central Bohemian champion was the LTC Prague , which was also Czechoslovakian champion last year .
Munich Agreement and effects on gaming operations
After the Munich Agreement and the annexation of the Sudetenland , the Czechoslovak Ice Hockey Association lost the association of German sports clubs, which included 47 clubs with 1005 players. In addition, there were a total of 32 Czech clubs with 516 players in the annexed area , who were also no longer able to participate in the game.
Game operations in the rest of Czechoslovakia were concentrated in Bohemia. Regional championships were organized in Slovakia, from which VŠ Brastislava , ŠK Zilina , ŠK Banská Bystrica and HC Tatry emerged as the winners.
The national final tournament could not be played because of the thaw. In some sources the LTC Prague is not only referred to as a Central Bohemian, but also as a Czechoslovakian master.
Due to the outbreak of the Second World War , the German-occupied Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, as well as Slovakia, then had their own championship between 1939 and 1944 and the Czechoslovak first division was not resumed until after the war ended for the 1945/46 season .
Central Bohemia
The seven teams each met once. The championship leader was at the end of the season. Only the game between HOVS Prague and I. ČLTK Prague was not played.
