Bühl im Ries (officially Bühl i.Ries ) is a district of the municipality of Alerheim in the district of Donau-Ries ( Bavaria ).

geography

The parish village is surrounded by fields and meadows, about 2.5 km east of Alerheim an der Schwalb in the Rieskessel . The district road DON 15 runs through the village .

Origin of name

Bühl comes from the Old High German "buhli" and means something like hill. The name refers to the hill in the center of the village where the church of St. Maria and the fortified cemetery are located.

history

The first mention dates from the year 868. On January 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality with its district Anhauserhöfe and the Neumühle property was incorporated into Alerheim as part of the municipal reform.
