Büllemoos ( Danish : Bøllemose or Byllemose ) is a place in the municipality of Wees in the Schleswig-Flensburg district .

Büllemoose is located north of the main town Wees at the intersection of Norderstraße / Glücksburger Chaussee. on the high edge of the Weeser mountain. Glücksburger Chaussee, which begins at Nordstraße (B 199), initially runs for a kilometer along the west side of the main town of Wees, then reaches Büllemoose and then leads to Rothenhaus and finally to Glücksburg . The Norderstraße continues to the main town Wees and runs through it for a long time.

history

The name Büllemoos was first documented in writing in 1685 and is made up of the word components “Büll” and “Moos”. The "Büll" is derived either from the Danish plant name "Bølle '' for Bilberry (also called bog berry or Trunkelbeere) from or points to a home, a farmstead or more separately located courts, so a small settlement out (see the. Suffix - büll as well as the area measure “ plank ”, which corresponds to a hoof .) The “moss” (Danish mose , old north. mosi ) indicates a bog . Büllemoos therefore means either "moor with trunkberries" or "living space on the moor". The eponymous bog itself used to function as a peat bog for the village of Wees. It was obviously drained later. The settlement of the same name with a courtyard and two cottages came under the Munkbrarupharde in 1779 , and has belonged to the community of Wees since 1871. On a very detailed Danish map from 1857/58 the place was already marked as "Böllemose". In 1961 Büllemoos had 25 inhabitants and in 1970 it had 43 inhabitants. Nowadays Büllemoos has a few smaller houses and the Hansen family's large farm ( Lage ) with a pig fattening and a biogas plant .
