Bünde-Mitte is the most populous district of the city of Bünde in the East Westphalian district of Herford . Bünde-Mitte is the city center of Bünde, which was enlarged many times over on January 1, 1969 by merging the original town of Bünde and the municipalities of the surrounding offices. Bünde-Mitte became the administrative seat of this enlarged city of Bünde and was henceforth called Bünde-Mitte. Bünde-Mitte has 10,822 inhabitants (as of September 30, 2009).
