Alliance of Young Doctors

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Alliance for Young Doctors ( BJÄ ) is an interest group for young doctors in Germany, which was founded in 2013.

Tasks and organization

The alliance consists of representatives of young doctors from various medical societies and professional associations and represents the interests of young doctors within their respective specialist societies and associations as well as within the medical profession in general.

The focus of the alliance founded in Berlin in December 2013 is on improving patient care and shaping the professional conditions for young doctors.

The spokesperson for the alliance is the dermatologist Max Tischler (Young Dermatologists in the Professional Association of German Dermatologists ) and the urologist Mira Faßbach ( German Society of Residents in Urology ).

Publications

In its position papers, the BJÄ takes a stand on challenges such as the increased workload in the health care system associated with demographic change, medical progress and the increasing cost pressure in the clinics , the compatibility of family and career or the quality of further medical training. Future papers (including on the topic of digitization, the use of health apps and artificial intelligence (AI)) are published regularly, as the expertise of digital natives is required here. A position paper on the digitization and use of health applications is in progress. In order to examine the influence of the changes in the health system on the working and further training conditions of young doctors as well as the quality of patient care, the members of the BJÄ carried out and published nationwide surveys of resident doctors from various disciplines who were in further training.
