The Alliance for Rügen (short name: BfR ) was a community of voters on the island of Rügen . It was founded in 1994. The chairman is Torsten Schäfer. In January 2019, the chair announced the dissolution.

The BfR is pursuing the goal of an autonomous island of Rügen that cannot be controlled by Schwerin or Berlin . The community of voters is tied to their home country and open to all Rügan residents.
