The Burberg , also called Buerberg and Bürberg , is 528.5 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Eifel . It lies with Schutz in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Vulkaneifel .

The Burberg rises in the Vulkaneifel Nature Park and in the back bushes . The local parish of Schutz , to whose territory the mountain belongs, lies at its southeastern foot . 3.1 km west-southwest of the mountain summit is the core of the local community Weidenbach . The Walmerbach (Wallmerbach) flows past to the west and flows in Schutz into the Kleine Kyll , which runs east of the mountain in a north-south direction .

The Burberg belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Eastern Eifel (No. 27), in the main unit Kyllburger Waldeifel (277) to the subunit Salmer Hügelland (277.3).
Others
The Burberg emerged as a volcano about 11,000 years ago . On the summit region there are remains of a Roman fortification from the 4th century AD.
On the mountain are part of the protected landscape area between Ueß and Kyll ( CDDA -No 326012;. 1982 expelled; 396.2312 square kilometers in size).
