The kkStB 494 was a tank locomotive series of the kk state railways of Austria , whose locomotives originally came from the Mühlkreisbahn .

The Mühlkreisbahn procured these five local railway machines from Krauss in Linz in 1888 . They were the only locomotives on the Mühlkreisbahn. Somewhat unusual for Austrian locomotives, they had a bell. At the Mühlkreisbahn they had the names UHRFAHR , AIGEN , LINZ , NEUFELDEN and ROHRBACH . The kkStB, which ran operations on the Mühlkreisbahn from 1900, initially referred to the machines as  94.61–65 , and from 1905 finally as  494.61–65 .

After the First World War , the five locomotives came to the BBÖ , which they retired by 1932. The 494.62 was sold to the Hohenau sugar factory in 1930 and is now in front of the Mühlkreisbahnmuseum in Berg bei Rohrbach .
