The steam locomotive series BEB Ia was a tank locomotive series of the Buschtěhrad Railway Company (BEB).
history
The 22 type C passenger locomotives procured by the BEB were supplied by the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik , the Lokomotivfabrik Floridsdorf and the First Bohemian-Moravian Machine Factory (BMMF) in the years 1890 to 1906. They were classified as BEB Ia and were given the company numbers 401-422.
After nationalization in 1923, all 22 machines came to the Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD), which gave them the series designation 300.6. The MATTONI of the local railway Wickwitz – Gießhübl-Sauerbrunn , which was manufactured by the BMMF immediately after the last BEB machine, was classified as 300.623 .
The last locomotive in this series was not taken out of service until 1967. The 300.619 has been preserved and placed in the Lužná u Rakovníka Railway Museum as a non-roadworthy exhibit.
