The BSG Aufbau Brandenburg was a company sports association in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel . Sections of the BSG were, for example, sailing , rowing , soccer , bowling , lawn power sports , swimming , bowling , marching bands and cycling . It existed from 1950 to 1990.

history

After the founding of the GDR , numerous company sports associations were founded. In the largest construction company in the city, the Märkische Bauunion in Wilhelmsdorfer Landstrasse, the BSG Bauunion was initially founded in November and December 1949. This had about 40 members. In February 1950, the BSG Aufbau was finally launched in the “Zum Bären” hotel. As a result, the Baukombinat Ost was founded, which from then on took over the sponsorship of the BSG. The first head of the company sports club was Heinz Grundmann. In the following decades, various athletes were able to win medals at GDR championships or play in higher-class leagues.

After the political change, the BSG was dissolved. In June 1992 the successor associations BSV Havel 50 e. V. and the Brandenburger Ruder-Klub merged to form the re-founded Brandenburger Sport- und Ruder-Klub in 1883 , which also sees itself in the tradition of the BSG construction and partly uses the sports facilities previously used by construction.

rowing

The rowing section of the BSG Aufbau Brandenburg was one of the most successful departments. The home circuit of the rowers was the Beetzsee regatta course . At the national championships of the GDR in Neuruppin in 1960 , several boats won body medals. In a couple fight he won the title with Stage in 1987 and 1988. Wagner came silver with Linke in 1984 and bronze with Rothe in 1982. Lawn strength sports

In lawn power sports, which was promoted as competitive sport until the end of the 1950s, the athlete Rudolf Lietzmann was the national leader in the 1950s.
